The goal for Solid Fuel Studios LLC is to support quality artists, entertainers, and craftsmen, by offering credit card processing services, web hosting, promtions, and legal protections. The idea is to give a small group of creators:
- the freedom to create and own their passions
- the peace of mind to trust in the corporate entity that represents them
- the ability to easily learn about whatever aspects of business, management, legal, and accounting they like - through a totally transparent business relationship
- help promoting and selling their works.
- useful connections in the Portland area, and beyond.
A Brief History: On the first of April, 2008, company founder Warren Blyth left his technical art and promotions job at NaturalPoint.com and moved to Portland, Oregon, to focus on creating a variety of long planned entertainment projects. Currently existing purely on savings, he will spend the rest of 2008 setting up the first run of products and projects for Solid Fuel, while seeking other local artists to join in.

Carrie Davis and Jonason Ho are likely to join in soon. Alex Yao, Doug Croeni, Maria Deira, Alan Winston, and K.Shawn Edgar - are on the short list of cool local artist friends to try and help in the future.
We're planning to put up lessons we've learned (regarding to nuts and bolts of creating the various projects, and setting up your own business), as time permits. Basically, we hope to teach all the things we wanted to know before we started Solid Fuel Studios, but couldn't find online. Until these lessons are posted, feel free to contact us directly with questions, or post in the forums.
